Our Team

GreenLife Co-operative has a great team who have volunteered or provided working capital to help start this community organization and promote renewable energy in Ontario. Here is a brief description of the individuals that make up the leadership of GreenLife Co-operative.

Vlad Glebov is the President of the GreenLife Co-operative and co-founder of the organization. His inspiration to start a renewable energy co-operative came from the conversations about renewable energy with social innovators from the many non-profits, community groups, and social enterprises at the Centre for Social Innovation at 215 Spadina Ave. This is also where the main office of GreenLife Co-op is still located and he is proud to have Tonya Surman, CEO of the Centre for Social Innovation, be among the first co-op members. This organization truly started from a collaboration between the various social innovators in this shared office environment. Vlad is also the CEO for Green Life Power Ltd. and works actively to provide engineering, financing and consulting services to develop solar projects in the Greater Toronto Area. Prior to working in the renewable energy industry, Vlad was working at the Ontario Ministry for Tourism and Culture as an Executive Assistant to a Member of Provincial Parliament.

Simon Rowland is Vice President and co-founder of GreenLife Co-operative, provided early funding, and manages the co-op’s operations. Simon is also CEO of Renewable Power Partners Inc., a land development firm focused on ground-mount solar. Prior to working in the renewable energy industry, he has designed and led engineering teams for products including a WiMAX-based IP-PBX, a wireless handheld, thin client computers, and several telecom testing systems. He has also designed and deployed calling cards platforms, VoIP services, voicemail, and other offerings of telecom operators in several countries. Simon was a founding shareholder of TransOrbital, Inc., which launched a test article into Low Earth Orbit in 2001. Simon studied at the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto, and ran as a candidate for public office during national elections in 2000.

Tim Nash is on the board of directors at GreenLife Co-operative and is also President of Strategic Sustainable Investment. He has earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of King’s College (Halifax, Canada) and his M.Sc. in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology (Karlskrona, Sweden) where he recently returned to guest lecture on ‘Sustainable Economics’. He has completed the Canadian Securities Course, and is a Senior Research Advisor to Ethical Markets Media (USA and Brazil). He leads the research team for the Green Transition Scoreboard, which has identified more than $3.3 trillion of private investments flowing into the global green economy. He was recently featured in Maclean’s magazine and has appeared on CBC’s The Lang & O’Leary Exchange.

Inna Raspudic (C.A.) is on the board of directors at GreenLife Co-operative. She is a Chartered Accountant and has earned a Masters in Management & Professional Accounting at University of Toronto. She is currently a Senior Manager at KPMG Enterprise and has previously worked as a Professional Accountant at Duffy, Allain & Rutten LLP. She has extensive experience in audit of public, non-profit, and social organizations and has volunteered her time at GreenLife Co-operative to promote renewable energy.
